The scent of lemongrass and eucalyptus gives us humans a sense of freshness, but to the mosquito it is a pers. The scent is mild and acidic and gives a refreshing feeling that is well suited to be in the background on a warm and pleasant summer evening.

Our range of mosquito candles are made from 5% recycled wax from our candle production and also contain the natural mosquito repellent Citrepel®. An ECO-certified mosquito repellent that contains a high level of PMD ( para-menthane-3,8-diol). It is the active substance that keeps mosquitoes away and is the natural alternative to the chemical poison DEET (diethyltoluamide) that is often found in mosquito repellents.

All of our insects are valuable, but some can still be a nuisance. Mosquitoes are a real nuisance for many of us. As a child mosquito bites were a plague, big and hot throbbing bites. Today, they are the reason mosquito candles exist and keep us separated without harming each other.

• Burns for about 50 hours
• Cotton and linen wick, free of lead
• Wax from 100% natural oils from rapeseed and sustainably grown coconut
• Free from paraffin, stearin, palm, soy and other additives
• All scented candles are made by hand in our Studio in Alnarp
• No animal fats
• Only vegan fragrance oils and essential oils

Top notes: Lime, lemongrass, freshly cut grass
Heart notes: lemon peel, may chang and eucalyptus
Base notes: Orange blossom, manuka honey and lemon

• Open the bag and take out the wick
• Seal the bag tightly again
• Put the bag in the microwave and run for 40 seconds at 600W
• Turn the bag over and run for another 40 seconds at 600W
• Remove the bag and set it aside while you prepare the wick
• Clean the cup and attach the wick
• Shake the bag back and forth very gently until you feel that the wax has melted evenly
• Pour into the cup and let cool for at least 12 hours

Top notes

Healthy peaks from lemon peel and citrus fruits. Light notes of neroli sprinkle in.

Heart notes

The heart opens up to a spicier scent of neroli, lemongrass and rosemary.

Bass notes

In the base, notes from eucalyptus emerge together with light hints of red cedar.

Prepare the candle cup and the wax

Boil water in a pot of at least 5 L and take it off the stove. Attach the included wick to the candle cup and then place the bag in the water. Allow the wax to melt completely.

Pour the wax into the candle cup

When the wax has melted completely, you can carefully pour it into the cup. Make sure the wick is centered and prop it up if necessary. A tip is to use a simple grill stick.

Let cool & trim the wick

The candle should preferably cool down for at least 24 hours before you light it again. When the candle has cooled, trim the wick to approx. 5 mm. Remember not to touch the candle while it solidifies.
