Refilling your scented candles with a simple scented candle refill - well, it's never been easier than now. If you do not know the product itself already, we can warmly recommend you to familiarize yourself with our journey through these three articles:
011. Winner of the Formex Sustainability Awards
071. Recycle your glasses again
Our refill has been awarded as the year's most sustainable product, chosen by a jury with a strong focus on sustainability. Now it has also received another boost.
What's new with our scented candle refill?
We keep the bag in recycled paper but change the inner height. We increase the thickness to ensure that the refill bags can be transported to our retailers without damage. The previous bag had such a thin inner layer that the bags were extremely sensitive.
With the new reinforced bag comes the ability to heat it up in a much smoother way. The previous plastic was sensitive to heat, but could be dipped in hot water to melt the wax, but now you just put your refill bag in the microwave. It's faster, better, and so much easier!
Why should you choose refills for scented candles?
For every cup produced comes inevitable carbon dioxide emissions. In a rough calculation based on a study by the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE), it is estimated that the production of one kilogram of glass generates approximately 0.75 to 0.85 kilograms of CO2, which would mean approximately 0.3 kg of C02 emissions per glass cup (excluding wax ).
By filling up with our refill bags instead, we can reduce that footprint. Roughly calculated, it is estimated that the manufacture of a refill bag (excluding wax) generates approx. 20 grams of C02 in emissions instead. This is based on calculations based on figures taken from the European Paper Recycling Council (EPRC) and PlasticsEurope.
