096. Our fragrances turn into refreshing drinks

096. Våra dofter förvandlas till uppfriskande drinkar

The summer's healthiest drinks with inspiration from some of our most popular scents. Yes, you read that right. Our fantastic intern Marlene came up with the suggestion to mix drinks with our scents as a starting point. All drinks are alcohol-free and at the end of each recipe there is a small star with tips on the type of spirit if you would like to heat them up with a little alcohol.

We will be releasing recipes every week in July, so be sure to keep track and feel free to tell us in the comments what you tried and what you thought!

We finish the week and add the last recipes. Don't forget that if you mix a drink and post on social media, we'd be so grateful if you tag us and link to the recipes.

RHUBARB BLISS BRUMBLE

#rhubarbblissbrumble #remoair #remoairmocktails

The first time I drank a brumble was at Pinchos. We've all experienced it... Too much ice, too little of the good stuff and too sweet to take another. But we have corrected that here. The inspiration is taken from the scent and history of Rhubarb Bliss and is our absolute favourite.

This is what you need:

  • Freshly picked strawberries
  • Fresh Moroccan mint
  • Half a lime
  • Rhubarb puree
  • A shut-up-good non-alcoholic cider

If you don't have strawberries in the garden, fresh ones from the market are fine, but deep-frozen ones are not. The same goes for mint, it needs to be coarse and not as volatile as the one you buy in the store. Rhubarb puree is easy to throw together (2 stalks rhubarb, 1 dl sugar, 2 tbsp sugar ⎯ boil, mix, refrigerate).

This is how you mix:

  • Chop lime and put in the glass with mint and puree ⎯ muddle
  • Top with chopped strawberries and ice cubes
  • Pour in the really good cider and stir gently
  • Decorate the way you like it best

* Add a light rum if you want to spice up the drink.

DARK HONEY MULE

#darkhoneymule #remoair #remoairmocktails

All of us who boycott Russia can now continue to mix a good MULE without being constantly reminded of the boycott. Our Dark Honey Mule is also slightly better than the original Moscow Mule.

Investing in a ridiculously expensive honey is A&O, but in the worst case there are tricks to achieve the deep sweetness in the drink, see recipe.

This is what you need:

  • A quarter of a lime and lemon in triangles
  • A small piece of lime peel
  • 1 teaspoon of Eco Manuka Honey (available in pharmacies, among others)
  • Ginger ale (one with real ginger)

In our opinion, the best Ginger Ale from Fever Tree is tonic. If you can't find dark honey, you can choose Swedish honey with a lot of flavor, then take half a teaspoon of that honey and half a teaspoon of dark muscovado sugar.

This is how you mix:

  • Rub the jug off the glass with a piece of lime peel
  • Muddle lemon, lime and honey
  • Fill halfway with ice
  • Pour in the ginger ale and top with the lime zest

* Add a dark rum or a good vodka when you muddle to make the drink alcoholic.

SPARKLING ROSÈ POMELO

#sparklingrosépomelo #remoair #remoairmocktails

There were by far many people who voted Sparkling Rosé Pomelo on Instagram as the next recipe. You certainly have to look for a simpler thirst quencher. For best results, you should invest in good raw materials. The recipe naturally draws inspiration from the classic drink Mimosa.

Make sure your bubble is well chilled before you start. If it's a really hot day outside, you can also put the glass in the freezer for a while beforehand.

This is what you need:

  • 6cl freshly squeezed juice from red or pink pomelo (can be replaced with grape)
  • Your absolute favorite sparkling wine
  • 1cl sugar syrup

In our opinion, you will find the best non-alcoholic bubbles at the system company.

This is how you mix:

  • Pour the juice and syrup into the cold glass - stir
  • Fill up with bubbles (tilt the glass so it doesn't bubble over)
  • Decorate the way you like it best

The drink is perfect for breakfast on the weekend, or for guests driving to one of the summer's festive events.

* Swap non-alcoholic bubbly for the best champagne you can find.

AGRÛME SPRITZ

#agrûmespritz #remoair #remoairmocktails

The inspiration is taken directly from the fragrance Agrûmes, which with its unique scent combinations creates a refreshing atmosphere. The scent is light and fresh, yet maturely seasoned with basil. So, it had to be a SPRITZ our way.

This is what you need:

  • 1 organic lime
  • 1/4 organic lemon
  • 1 pot of organic or homegrown basil
  • Non-alcoholic Prosecco
  • Soda water with elderberries

This is how you mix:

  • Chop the lemon and muddle it together with the basil. Be brave and take between 7-10 large leaves.
  • Divide the glue, slice one half and squeeze the other half and add to the glass the glass.
  • Top up with ice cubes and pour prosecco. Top with elderberry flavored soda water, we used Fentiman's.

* Replace alcohol-free prosecco with a dry Prosecco to your liking, if you want to make the drink even stronger, you can add 2 cl of fruity gin when you muddle.

GARDEN SUMMERTINI

#jârdinsummertini #remoair #remoairmocktails

Jârdin is one of the most popular fragrances that is rich in both fruity and floral notes. Mixing these into a drink was literally like a bed of roses. This is a frothy summer drink with both character and an unexpected cooling effect.

This is what you need:

  • Juice from 1/2 organic lime
  • 2cl concentrate from blackcurrants
  • A few drops of rose water
  • 1cl egg white
  • 4cl soda water

This is how you mix:

  • Pour all ingredients into a shaker and mix with a blender or milk frother. Add plenty of ice and shake one last time.
  • Pour and top with a flower.

* Replace blackcurrant concentrate with a blackcurrant liqueur such as Bols. If you don't want the drink quite so fluffy, it's fine to just shake all the ingredients in a shaker with ice cubes.

PS A big thank you to Marlene and Marjo who were involved in this idea!
